Elizabeth Forth
A tragic story from 1876 about a lady who lived in one of the Watering Troughs houses (Where the petrol station now stands on Hillside). The newspaper cutting was donated by her 3x great granddaughter Gill Forth.
The newspaper (unknown) cutting below talks about the inquest being held at Victoria Inn (photo below) which is now The Card Gallery and Victoria Cottage Tearoom.
On the right of this photo can be seen the Victoria Inn where the inquest was held, and on the opposite side of the road beyond the chapel can be seen what was one of the Watering Troughs houses where Elizabeth Forth lived and tragically took her own life.
