Pubs, Clubs & Inns
Ackworth Moor Top Working Mens Club, built for the quarry workers. It is interesting to see how the castellated extension was added to the right of the front door of the Working Mens Club, to make the entrance for the Electric Theatre cinema hall. Also the ornate woodwork on the front gable was later removed.
The Beverley Arms
The Victoria Inn (Now The Card Gallery and Victoria Tea Rooms) on Hillside. When it closed, the license to sell alcohol transferred to the Beverley Arms.
The School Inn at the top of Station Road, now a car park. This was a temperance establishment, so sold no beer. It's main use was probably for parents visiting the school.
